Mauro Fadel - Designing path of a masterpiece

xonia by midj

My evolutional path which has brought me to focus my attention as an architect on objects and projects connected to the world of design goes through the environmental circumstances in which I live and work, through the experiences matured in intense and creative planning, through the consolidated cooperation with manifold and authoritative furniture manufacturers from north eastern Italy.

The characteristic trends of my style are mostly bound to the figurative art in the Italian industrial design of the 60s, 70s, 80s, to Italian and international architecture, to the 30's French Art Déco, but above all to the futurist and philomodern stream created by the most famous Italian architects and designer, whose projects have built the Italian Style history and culture: such as Gio Ponti, Achille Castiglioni, A. Mendini, E. Mari, V. Magistretti, M. Zanuso, E. Sottsass, A. Citterio, Piero Lissoni.

My design project raise from very precise conceptual ideas, from targeted analysis of the market section, and the continuous research of innovative and unusual technological materials proposed by industry - both for the HOUSE and for the CONTRACT.

SINUETTE e ROXETTE by G&G Imbottitidesign

The fusion and the pureness of the forms gleaming through my creative and communicative way for the whole design project flower essentially from creative ideas at first studied and processed on formal sketches: this springs out a very strong visual impact. Afterwards I prepare a basic illustrative technical project leading to the to the prototype; I pay the highest attention to the study of ergonomics, to the structural shape and their most important details. Most obvious, the core aspect rotates around the choice of the material to be used to build the definite object and its production.

There are over 250 items I have planned in 15 years of professional career and still many of these are currently in production.

There are many modern technological materials I usually use to create my design projects among them rubber, steel, solid wood In various essences, the polyurethane foam, satin glass, plastic fibers such as polypropylene, Abs, metacrylic, corian®, NiKron and so on.

The ultimate and exceptionally light empty cells aluminium panel in varied thickess at chemical zero made by DOLUFLEX (made by Donati group in Milan) allowed me to give birth to the project whichh I feel most bound,: the modular unit bookshelf Sky.book BIG_Star/Theater. they are a fundamental part of 2006 Rhapsody_live, and whichh has gained a very dep Interest either on the visual and on the commercial side, produced by G&G Imbottitidesign in Padua.
